Bittersweet

Today was Kinley's last day to be in Mrs. Duncan's class. She will start Pre K on Monday morning! It's so crazy to me that she only has one more year of ACL before she starts Kindergarten....KINDERGARTEN!!! It literally seems like YESTERDAY she started her 2 year old class! At first I was a little upset that she couldn't start Kindergarten this August (her birthday falls short of the cut off date) but I would like to keep her little as long as I can ;) 

Mrs. Duncan is such a sweet sweet person. She was my co-worker when I was working at ACL - many moons ago! She was always very good to me & I enjoyed working with her so I really wanted Kinley to have her. Kinley thinks the same about her that I do :)

Miss Baker was also a great teacher.. she babysat Dylan & Emily a lot when they went to ACL so of course we loved her too! 

Luckily the "getting good teachers" will continue into Pre-K! She will have another great teacher that I worked with & I am excited she will be learning new & bigger things! Kinley is ready for the move & has been talking about it for a week!

Memorial Day Weekend

We  had a pretty good Memorial Day Weekend this year! On Friday Jeffrey, Alex, Presley & I went to lunch at Newks & that evening we had Alex, Brian & Jaimye over for "patio night!" We all had a good time hanging out & watching the Ranger game!

Saturday we hung out at my moms with Macy while my sister & Jeff were at the Gaylord for the weekend! We had some yum-o ice cream after lunch & just relaxed :)

Sunday we headed up to the Ranger game with everyone (as shown in previous post) & hung out.

 Monday we headed over to my in-laws house for more swimming with the family as well as a fish fry! Michelle & Patrick came in from Colorado & enjoyed the day with us! I did not get any pictures this time :( After we left their house we went back to my parents house for more swimming & cooking! Jeffrey cooked some burgers & we enjoyed the rest of the day. It was very busy & I was so exhausted, but we were glad to see Alex & be with our families! 

The Boy Scouts put flags throughout my moms neighborhood.. lucky!

Oh sweet Pretzel! She wanted this banana somethin awful! She made this face for about 5 minutes~until the banana was gone haha!

Alex/Ranger Game

This past Wednesday Alex came home for some relaxation before he deploys in July. He wanted to go to a Ranger game so we got us some tix & hit the road! We went with him, his brother Tim & fiance Jessica, friends Matt & Christina & Mike & Stephanie! We had a really good time & enjoyed the weekend!

 My favorite pitcher~Mike Adams.. I got a little wave from him! We sat directly above the bullpen & it was a great view! Takes place of not seeing the big screen ;)

 New this year at the ballpark.. "The Boomstick!" Named after Nelson Cruz. Its a $26 hot dog to say the least & the boys thoroughly enjoyed every bite!

It's calling our name again!

I'm thinkin June 29- July 1 would be a perfect time for a weekend getaway :)

Acadia

We have been searching & searching for a new(er) Acadia/Enclave for a while. The last car payment I made I thought to myself  "I don't need to be spending this much a month!!" The next day we started searching hard core! And since we moved I drive an average of 40 miles a day. Plus a lot more on the weekends! It was not pretty on the gas card! I was getting about 14mpg with my hog..& as much as I LOVED my big ol SUV I knew it was the smart thing to do. I miss it.. A LOT but it's just a car right? I was really attached to it. It's funny bc I traded my Armada for an Outlook (same as an Acadia) & then sold the Outlook for the QX (same as Armada).. now here we are back to the Acadia! 

I do love it & it is SO much smoother than my QX! It's 4 years newer, 20,000 less miles, brand new tires, all the same options, better gas & cheaper payment~ so I feel very good about our decision! 

Some pics of it at the dealership- whom by the way was excellent to work with and I recommend them. Tranum in Temple is who we used. They went to auction for us and found ours bc the one they had we didn't like. 

 I am still getting used to this.. the backup cam is IN the rearview mirror! Mine was all in the navigation screen before so this is going to take some getting used to :)

After we got her home! Seems weird sitting in my driveway!

Kinley's 1st Game

We took Kinley to her very first Ranger game yesterday (Thursday 17th)!!! She really loved it although it seemed like 200 degrees out there :( I think I put sunscreen on her 3 times & she still got a little burned. Anyway we really enjoyed the day with her & it was nice to just be 1 on 1 with her for a change. 

We got there & ate lunch first at the Cuervo Club..she was too excited to eat!

 I had Becca make Kinley this adorable shirt! She was very proud of it!

 We got to our seats afterwards & sat for less than an hour & we had to go walking in the shade to let Kinley cool off. 

 We walked back to center field & let her pick out a couple things at the shop! She picked out a cap & a pink bat/ball! Then got her pic with Nolan Ryan :)

 Back to our seats & Hamilton FINALLY got in the game (7th inning I think).

Kinley was SO excited he was up to bat!

No better way to spend the afternoon that's for sure! I wish we could do it a lot more!

Go Rangers!!

3 months!

Presley turned 3 months old on May 12 (this past Sunday). 

We couldn't get any good pictures of her so these will have to do!

A few stats at 3 months..

• In size 3 mo. clothes
• Wearing size 1 diapers
• Eating 4.5oz every 3-4 hrs. 
• Sleeping GREAT! Normally she goes down at 7:30pm and sleeps till 6:30am ~ sometimes I have to wake her up in the mornings so I can leave & drop her off at Nana's!
• Still can't even fit into newborn shoes! I have all these shoes for you girlfriend~let's get those little feetsies to growin!!
• At her 2 month appt she was 11lbs 2oz so I'm assuming shes around 12lbs now. We don't go back to the doc until June 22 so won't be getting new stats on weight & height until then!
