Spring has Sprung!

The weather has been so nice lately (minus the wind) so we've been trying to get out & enjoy it. The other day we put our walkin shoes on & went to check out the new road & construction right behind our house.

Ok so I am like 3 weeks late on posting these pictures~I just haven't been on the computer much at home lately.

Jessika & David went to the zoo with us during Spring Break & we had so much fun. Kinley just wanted to hold "Jekkila's" hand the WHOLE time & had nothing to do with us ;-)

Grandma Oliver

Jeffrey's grandma passed away early this morning. She was loved by so many & was very close to all her children. She would have been 95 this April so she lived a very long & happy life.

We will miss you sweet Grandma Oliver~watch over us & enjoy those pearly gates!

This was just the other night- Kinley loves reading books & she has a favorite one of nursery rhymes. .

"Mary Mary Quite Contrary" is another one in the book that she knows.. only she says "Mary Mary Quite Contrary, how does your garden grow? With cockleshells & pretty maids all in row!" I've never heard a 2 yr old say cockleshells haha!!

She surprises us every day with things she can do. I hope her love for books continues for years to come!!

One of my best friends~Cammy~has twins & we helped them celebrate their 2nd birthday on March 5th. Kinley had a great time opening their presents..yup..you would've thought it was HER birthday! But that's ok, they all do it at this age!

Parties are so much fun! I already can't wait for Kinley's in OCTOBER! I've already been thinking about a cute little place to have it :)

We lucked out this weekend & got to hang out friday AND saturday night with our friends.

Friday night we went to see Shutter Island with Alex & his friends! We had a great time but the movie was SO BORING! Nothing scary to it at all like the previews showed! We just started cracking jokes about it as well as the people behind us..so it made it interesting to say the least!

Saturday night we met up with Jessika & David at Georges. We had a yummy dinner & then headed out to listen to live music on the patio. An old friend of ours was also in town so it was nice catching up with him as well! Lots of other friends showed up too so we had a fun night!

Yesterday Kinley helped Nana make a strawberry cake. She had a good little time & thought she was the coolest thing helping Nana! We even let her lick the bowl :)

After the cake went in the oven I had to leave to get my hair done. Nana said Kinley helped her ice the cake also...I'm sure she got more in her mouth than on the cake!!

As you know, Kinley got sick with a stomach virus about a month ago. Well, she came down with another one this past Sunday night. She started at 5pm and didn't stop till 2:30am. Needless to say it was a VERY LONG day at work the next day! My mom kept her Monday & now she is sick as well. I don't have a clue how we dodged it but I'm not asking any questions! Kinley bounced back much quicker w/ this go around. She was back to school on Tuesday & hasn't looked back.

Hopefully this is the end of her sicknesses for a WHILE & she can enjoy Spring.

And to all our friends out there who have this bug too~we hope you have a speedy recovery!!

Hat Day!

Once again- both cameras were dead so I had to resort to my lovely cell phone camera.

Today was hat day at Kinley's school. They are celebrating Dr. Seuss's birthday all week & so today they could wear any hat they wanted & they were doing a hat parade this morning!

All I could find were these goofy hats at Wal-Mart but hey, at least she got one!
