Sea World

Oh Sea World.. maybe next time we will get to visit you longer. Kinley just didn't enjoy you this time..I don't know what it was that she didn't like about you but you sure can't tell it from these pictures!

First line of business (since the Budweiser Clydesdales are no longer at Sea World which she would have LOVED) were the dolphins..

Boy did she like them. This is what started the bad mood- leaving the dolphins.

But after we ate lunch & she got a little energy (no nap) we took her to play the boardwalk games. The only roller coaster she could have ridden had a line an hour long so this was the next best thing. She played maybe 3 games..won an octopus and she was done.

Haha she grabbed this guitar and went to town all on her own. She plays alot on Daddy's guitar at home!

We got a big ol ice cream after the games- and threw away more than 1/2 of it!! She didn't want it.

Finally we got to see Shamu! She LOVED it. That was the only thing she loved!

We got back to the hotel and went swimming. Didn't get any pics bc we were both in there with her. Then we ordered up some room service (that didn't come till 9pm!!!!) and went to bed.

She did this trick and said "I'm going to dance class!!"

And then got a little phone gaming going on..

It really was a rough weekend. She did not enjoy herself at all at Sea World. We just knew she was going to love it. Guess we should've gone with our original plan of Wiggles World at Fiesta Texas! Oh well..lesson learned!

Crazy Hair Day

Kinley had crazy hair day at school last Friday :)

This was about as crazy as I could do..without bustin out the spray on color! lol

Bargain

I have been eyeballing this set for MONTHS at Kirklands. I begged Jeffrey for it before Christmas but it was still a little too much money for what it was.

But I joined the Kirklands mailing list & have been getting all these coupons. A couple weekends ago they had a huge sale so it was $20 off plus I had gotten a $10 off coupon so it was stupid for me to pass it up! We love it & I think it makes our house look more cozy :)

I'm A Big Kid Now

I hope I don't jinx myself by saying this..but I am excited to tell the world that Kinley is now potty trained! Did I finally get to say that?? She isn't 100%, however, because she is still wearing pull-ups to bed. But she has been wearing big girl panties at home for 2-3 weeks now AND has gone to school for 5 days now with no accidents! She tells us when she has to go~ we don't really have to ask her to go. Going #2 took a little longer but she has that down too now. It was all so fast.. kinda. I mean we have been working with her for so long but it really was kind of an overnight thing as far as it just CLICKING with her. There weren't really that many accidents or messes to clean up. Which was a blessing!! We are some proud parents! It's a little bittersweet but for the most part I am SO glad we don't have to keep buying & buying pull-ups.

We haven't really taken her alot of places yet tho, so I am a little worried about that.

I'm also so glad she has conquered this thing bc she is starting a Mommy & Me dance class this summer. She doesn't have to be potty trained for that, however, if she wants to sign up for the fall she will HAVE to be fully trained. I really want her to do this so I hope she doesn't decide to regress or anything like that. Keep your fingers crossed~!

On a side note, I keep searching for those paper/disposable toilet seat covers to buy for when we are in public.. but I can't find them! Was I dreaming those up?? I have looked at WalMart, Toys R Us, HEB..I haven't ventured over to Target yet so maybe they are there?

5 YEARS!

Jeffrey & I had a great 5 year anniversary! We spent the weekend in Fredericksburg & we will def be going back!

Our cabin was the Carriage House @ the Victorian Mansion

Private Hot Tub

I wanted to take all the pillows home with me! They were like 100 lbs each & sooo pretty!

For our Anniversary dinner we drove over to the Cotton Gin. A few people had told us to go there so we tried it out. It was AMAZING! Jeffrey had buffalo enchiladas which were to die for. I have had buffalo once before & I actually liked it..shocker I know!

I had a pecan crusted cherry glaze pork tenderloin..I normally don't eat pork but I LOVED it! Everything about the place was great.

Then we just walked around the restaurant which was all tied together with more cabins & a patio with live music. It was beautiful over there around sunset :)

On Saturday we drove over to Luckenbach! Def not much to this lil place. I was expecting more even tho most people told us "there's not much to that lil place!!"

But I had a good time anyway! We got T-shirts in the old Post Office that is now a general store.. had to have a beer as well or things just wouldn't have been right..

..peeked in the dancehall- I'd love to go dancin in there..

..& then here comes this guy..

We came back & took another stroll down Main Street. I could've done that all day long :)

After we ate an appetizer at Spring Creek & had dinner at Auslander Biergarten we went over to a place called Hondo's. A lot different (& better) than our old Hondo's! They had live music as well & everyone was just having a great time!

On our way back home we had to stop at Storm's (a burger place) in Lampassas. Jeffrey & his fam ate here alot when he was little so I had to see what all the buzz was about. Let's just say they had the BEST fries ever!

We had a wonderful 5 year Anniversary~ here's to many many more!!
