WAHOO! Guess who is coming to the fair this year...TRACY LAWRENCE! He'll be here the night of Kinley's birthday party so she might just have to have a slumber party at the grandparents house so mommy can get her country music fix :)

This would be Tracy the way I like to remember him..& if he doesn't sing ALIBIS &/or STICKS & STONES then I will just have to jump on stage & sing it for him- wouldn't THAT be a sight! ;)

Kinley just loves her some pumpkins! I can't wait to get some more to decorate with but it's still just too hot for me to put them out! I got these little baby ones at wally world for now tho :o)

Every night when we come home- Kinley HAS to check to see if the tractors are still out back. Behind our house is/was a field & they are making streets for a new block.

Meet Mamaw

My Mamaw was given this bear when she was in the hospital years ago. My mom has had it for the last 8 or 9 years (since my mamaw passed) but Kinley just discovered it a few days ago! Nana let her have it bc she HAD to have it :) So we named her Mamaw & Kinley is really attached to it. Whenever she says "where's my mamaw" it makes me think of the greatest grandma there ever was ;o)

She's giving her sugars here, but it looks more like a bite to me, lol!

Happy Fall Y'all

Today is officially the first day of Fall!! It will be a cool 75 today & I sure wish I could spend it outside! But don't worry all you Texans- we will be back to normal soon with our high next monday being back to 91. Yippe.

Kinley Update

Just a little update on Miss Priss~NO I didn't put her in her crib :) And thankfully she was really good yesterday- and today has been good so far! WHEW!

Calling all moms (or dads)!!

Ok I am in need of some advice.

As most of you know, Kinley started daycare in late August.

It seems since then she has been coming home & acting out in the WORST ways. She is hitting us, screaming at the top of her lungs, throwing things, throwing food on the floor, saying NO 24/7, saying I DON'T LIKE IT at almost anything.. I can even ask her if she wants a cookie & she will say (or scream I should say) that she doesn't like it! She thinks time out is a game.. and if I swat her hand she just thinks she has the the ok to hit too. Any punishment I give her, she of course screams even louder & hits even harder. We can't really even take her to resturants anymore bc she acts out so bad.

I know it's terrible two's but what are some things you all have done to lay down the law?!!

My sister told me tonight to maybe put her in her crib (with no toys of course) & shut the door for a couple minutes..so I will try that tomorrow (I say tomorrow bc I KNOW she will be at it again as soon as she comes home).

And most importantly--WHAT HAPPENED TO MY SWEET LITTLE BABY!!??

Kinley LOVES anything outside-so a couple weeks ago she helped Daddy wash his truck! She did a great job..although I should've put her bathing suit on bc she was soaking wet! But she had a ball!

8 years

It's hard to believe it has been 8 years already since it happened.

I was getting ready for class at MCC when I watched it all unfold. We (Jeffrey, my sis in law & myself) listened to it on the radio all the way to school..& when my sis in law & me got in class of course we were all talking about it. We had heard about the Pentagon in the car & I was really freaked out, thinking it was going to happen in every state or something. Our teacher got mad at us students bc we were TALKING...talking about what was going on & how scared we were. Yea, I bet she regrets that now.

Each year we are reminded of the loss America suffered~& we should be. But this man who called 911 right before the tower he was in fell is always on my mind when 9/11 rolls around. It is the worst thing I think I have ever listened to. It is the same guy that 97.5fm was broadcasting the day of. Not sure how but they were. Anyways not to put a damper on your day but I think everyone should hear this & be reminded of what happened bc after all, he along with all the others who died are the whole reason we are at war. Alot of people seem to forget that & get so wrapped up in the politics of it all.

Back Pack Back Pack!

I finally got Kinley her backpack all ready for school :)

I saw this one on walmart.com but when I went to get it~of course they didn't have it. So I had to get my sister to get it from her WalMart in Houston (yes I am that picky) & my friend Kristy embroidered it for me! She did a great job, Kinley & I both love it!

I also had her put Kinley's name on her nap mat. We put it on the blanket bc I didn't think you could see it on the front bc it is zebra print. Kinley said "SO CUTE!" Oh that girl!!
